The Medtronic Cobalt™ XT HF Quad CRT-D MRI SureScan™ implantable cardioverter defibrillator with cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT-D) combines pacing, defibrillation, and advanced cardiac resynchronization for patients with heart failure and life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias. It uses quadripolar pacing lead configurations and advanced algorithms such as SmartShock™ 2.0 for optimized therapy delivery, iATP (Intrinsic ATP) for smarter antitachycardia pacing, and PhysioCurve™ design for adaptive therapy. The device is MR Conditional, allowing safe 1.5 T/3 T MRI scans when used with appropriate SureScan™ leads and settings. Medtronic’s CRT-D systems are indicated for automated antitachycardia pacing, cardioversion, and defibrillation while synchronizing ventricular contractions to improve pump efficiency in select heart failure patients.
