DARCO PQ4 refers to the +INSOLE PEG-ASSISTSQUARE-TOE in an extra-large (XL) size. It is sold individually (1/EA), with 12 units per box (12/BX) and 36 units per case (36/CA). This is a PegAssist™ insole specifically designed with a square toe shape to fit Darco’s square-toe medical-surgical shoes and other square-toe Darco footwear like the OrthoWedge, HeelWedge, APB, and SlimLine cast boot. It features a removable peg system that allows for targeted off-loading of plantar pressure, crucial for post-operative care, wound management, and the treatment of plantar ulcers. The extra-large size fits women’s shoe sizes 11-1/2 and up, and men’s shoe sizes 10-1/2 and up. The insole is constructed from a 15mm combination of Plastazote® and Multi-Foam base with a 3mm Poron® cover to provide cushioning and support while maintaining the ability to customize pressure relief by removing individual pegs. A stabilizer board is included to maintain the insole’s integrity and prevent adjacent pegs from collapsing. Each insole also comes with a removable toe cover and a single-use marking tube.
