DARCO HQ4B refers to the +SHOE HEEL WEDGE in an extra-large (XLRG) size and black color. It is sold individually (1/EA), with 12 units per box (12/BX) and 36 units per case (36/CA). This shoe, known as the HeelWedge®, is clinically proven to off-load pressure from the heel by shifting weight to the midfoot and forefoot. This is particularly beneficial for post-operative healing of soft tissue or bony structures of the heel, selective off-loading after fractures, and the treatment of ulcerations on the heel area. The shoe features a square toe design that acts as a bumper to protect the toes and provides a better left/right fit. An ankle strap secures the foot in the shoe to reduce slippage, and a removable forefoot closure eliminates buckle pressure. The EVA insole has twice the padding of standard insoles and can be modified or removed to accommodate DARCO’s PegAssist™ insole for targeted off-loading. This extra-large size typically fits men’s shoe sizes 11.5 to 13.
