The ConvaTec 222987 Adapt™ Skin Barrier Paste is a ready-to-use, alcohol-containing paste designed to help achieve a secure and protective seal around ostomy appliances. It is used to fill in uneven skin contours, creases, scars, or stomal irregularities, effectively creating a smoother surface for better adhesion of the skin barrier.

By acting as a “caulk” — not a glue or adhesive — the paste helps prevent stool, urine, or drainage from seeping underneath the skin barrier, which can lead to irritation, infection, and premature appliance failure. This can help extend wear time and improve patient comfort and confidence.

The easy-to-squeeze tube with a red cap allows for precise application directly onto the skin or back of the barrier. Available in two convenient sizes for clinical or home use.
