They are instantly made aware of entry by a light. By improving on existing safety procedures, the “illuminated” visual placement signal gives the surgeon more confidence when performing a blind insertion.

Additionally, there is a clear audible “click” as the blunt tip thrusts forward and enters the peritoneal cavity. Clear hubs make it simple to see during hanging drop and aspiration tests.
