The Ethicon 963242 Dermabond Advanced™ is a sterile, topical skin adhesive designed to close the edges of surgical incisions and minor lacerations without the need for sutures on the outer layer. Formulated with 2-octyl cyanoacrylate, this fast-acting liquid adhesive provides strong, flexible bonding that supports wound healing while maintaining a protective barrier.

Indicated for use on:

• Surgical incisions (including minimally invasive puncture sites)
• Simple, thoroughly cleansed traumatic lacerations with easily approximated skin edges

Dermabond Advanced™ may be used in conjunction with deep dermal sutures, but not as a replacement for them. When used over sutured wounds, it has been shown ex vivo to add 75% more strength to the closure compared to sutures alone.

Each single-use applicator contains 0.7 mL of adhesive and features a pen-style design with a crushable ampoule inside a plastic housing. Sterile and individually blister-packed for shelf stability and readiness.
