The FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader is a handheld device designed to work with the FreeStyle Libre 2 continuous (or flash) glucose monitoring system. It lets users scan the sensor on their upper arm to instantly view current glucose levels, trend arrows, and the latest 8‑hour glucose history at a glance. Optional real‑time alarms alert users when their glucose levels are too high or too low. The Reader features a rechargeable lithium‑ion battery, compact size (approx. 95 mm × 60 mm × 16 mm) and lightweight design (about 65 g) for convenient daily use. It also includes built‑in blood glucose and ketone test strip port, and stores up to 90 days of glucose history in memory.

This device is intended for use in managing diabetes in adults and children (ages 4 +) and is compatible only with FreeStyle Libre 2 (and in some markets FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus) sensors.
