Description

MedSource MS-843182 TrueSafe Comfort Safety IV Catheter 18G x 1.16 in – 50 per Box

The MedSource TrueSafe Comfort® MS-843182 is a sterile, disposable peripheral intravenous catheter designed for safe and reliable vascular access. This 18 gauge x 1.16 inch catheter features polyurethane construction for excellent flexibility, kink resistance, and patient comfort during dwell time. The green color-coded hub allows for quick gauge identification.

Equipped with a push-button safety activation mechanism that automatically retracts the needle into a locked chamber immediately after cannulation — helping to prevent accidental needlestick injuries. The safety feature is intuitive and requires only one hand to activate, enhancing clinician safety without disrupting workflow.

Features a notched needle tip and integrated flashback chamber for clear, rapid confirmation of vessel entry. Radiopaque stripe ensures visibility under X-ray when needed. Rated for high pressure (over 325 psi), making it suitable for power injection in compatible applications.

Straight plastic hub provides secure connection and ease of tubing management. Not made with DEHP or natural rubber latex. Flashback chamber eliminates need for blood control technology while maintaining safety and performance.

Ideal for use in hospitals, emergency departments, and ambulatory care settings where safety, durability, and ease of use are essential.
